The Water Tank Death
The body of Elisa Lam, a student from Canada was found after several weeks of being declared missing, inside a water tank belonging to the Hotel Cecil! She was found in February 2013 after the guests had been complaining about the water supply they were receiving. The case is still open and it is unclear as to how she got in the tank or who murdered her.
This is the odd case of the disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley, who went missing from the cruise she was spending a vacation on, in 1998. However a witness has since come forward and said she spotted Amy Lynn using a public bathroom in Barbados in 2005, but no one is sure of her location now!
Highway Of Tears
For a woman, this is seen to be the most dangerous place to hitch hike in the world. Over 18 females have been kidnapped, gone missing and presumed murdered after trying to catch a ride on this highway but have never been found since. The police consider this case to be impossible to solve but think there is one person behind all the disappearances, which has led the Highway 16 to be renamed, Highway of Tears!
Madeleine McCann Case
This case is never far from the media, but despite so much attention has still not been solved. In May 2007, Madeleine McCann aged just 3 years old was claimed to be abducted from
her hotel room whilst her parents were dining out. However, many think the parents might have killed their child after DNA testing showed evidence that she had died in the hotel room and the parents acting very suspiciously. The case is still open.
House Fire Disappearances
On Christmas Eve 1945 the Sodder family household caught fire in West Virginia and completely demolished, however, within this fire 5 of the 9 children within the family went missing with no signs of their remains within the fire. Now 60 years later, no remains have still been found, so where did those five children go?
Back in February 1957, a boy that was identified to be between the ages of four and six years old was found beaten and left in a cardboard box. He is now more commonly known as ‘America’s Unknown Child’ as no one can identify the poor child that lost his life in a box in Philadelphia; this case is still open.
The Mysterious Axeman
Over the time from May 1918 through to October 1919 a mysteriously nicknamed killer, The Axeman, struck multiple murders from Texas to Louisiana all with the trademark move of killing them with their own axes. It is still unknown as to whether it was a man or woman killing and some people even believed it could have been a ghost or something supernatural!
The Victims Of Bear Brook
In New Hamshire, Bear Brook State Park, four decomposing bodies of young girls were found having been severely beaten and left in rubbish bags. The victims were found from 1985 to 2011, but there is no insight or lead as to who committed these crimes or who the victims were either.
