Taxidermy Animals, Watches And Vintage Dolls – The Weird Collections Of The Rich And Famous

Actress Amanda Seyfried outed herself on Conan as a Taxidermy freak, the host offering her one of his own special animals. She isn’t the only celebrity to have an odd collection though, with many of the rich and famous using their money to amass huge gatherings of odd things. Who knew that untold wealth along with more free time than the average person would show itself in the form of crazy collections of certain objects?

Demi Moore – Vintage Dolls

In typical celebrity fashion, Moore has managed to turn a fairly typical obsession with collecting dolls into something quite insane. Her collection has got to the point where her ex-husband Bruce Willis bought her a house just to place all her collection inside.

Mike Tyson – Bengal Tigers

Without getting into the unpleasant reality of keeping a wild animal like a White Bengal Tiger as a pet, this is a very typical collection of a man with the kind of reputation Tyson has. You may remember one of his pet tigers making a cameo along with Mike in The Hangover.

Tom Hanks – Typewriter

Hanks’ love of typewriters began after he bought an incredibly rare typewriter in Australia for a pittance, one that he loved so much that he then spent an extra $85 to get back into America. Of all the collections on this list, I think this one is one of the coolest.

Martin Scorsese – Vintage Movie Posters

An unsurprising collection, Scorsese has always been a film nerd. Since his youth, the director has been a complete film nerd and his passion can be seen in his extensive grouping of vintage movie posters.

Jerry Seinfeld – Porsche’s

When does a rich man buying expensive cars turn into a collection? I’d say never but apparently the comedian Jerry Seinfeld disagrees. His obsession with cars is supposedly pinpointed on Porsche’s, the man having collected various types of car all within that make.

What do you think about these collections? Are these funny little groupings of trinkets or do you feel anger when you see what this money is going towards? Sound off in the comments below if these pictures have got on your nerves or if you’re a collector yourself and wish you had this level of time and money.
