Sam recently quit Twitter because of the public’s negative reaction to his Oscar speech. He did win the Oscar for his James Bond theme tune ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, but during his speech he mistakenly mentioned he was the first openly gay man to have ever won an Oscar, which is far from true as many openly gay men have won Oscars in the past.

Lena eventually quit Twitter because of continuing abuse she would receive for posting photos of herself. She still has a Twitter account, but she has someone write out and send her tweets so she can still keep fans informed about her latest appearances and projects.
