10 Things To Do Before Playing Star Wars Battlefront

The new Star Wars Battlefront game comes out so soon and we’re all getting incredibly excited for its arrival. But what can we do for the next few days until we can get our hands on the final game? Well, we’ve gone out and had a look around on the web to see if we can find activities for you to do before the inevitable day comes.

1. Watch the original trilogy

This is one of the first things we suspect most people are going to be doing before they play Star Wars Battlefront. The film is based on the planets from the original trilogy and therefore, will feel closer to the new The Force Awakens movie more than the prequel trilogy would.

However, if you want a little back story to the story of the original trilogy, then the prequel trilogy does a fairly decent show of showing Anakin Skywalker’s dark descent from innocent little boy to the dark side.

3. Check out some videos on YouTube of play during the Beta

There are plenty of videos on YouTube of people playing the Beta when it was out. There may be some new tips and tricks that you could pick up from these videos that will ready you better for the incoming onslaught of brilliant players out there.

4. Read some of the background lore around the Star Wars Universe

There are plenty of books and lore around the rest of the Star Wars universe and we’d highly recommend checking some of these out. They may fill out extra story to some of the planets that you’ll visit and even some of the Hero characters you might be playing as.

5. Check out the animated Star Wars series The Clone Wars

Once you’re done reading the lore, why not go ahead and chill out a bit and watch some of the animated series The Clone Wars. It’s a great animated series that gives you another few stories based around the Star Wars universe.

6. Learn the language

Yes, you may not realize but the language that a lot of the aliens speak in the film can actually be translated. In some cases, the films show the subtitles, in others, people have worked out what it means by the conversation context and the response given. This website gives you some lines to learn.

7. Find out your Star Wars name

Whilst we’re on the topic of fun Star Wars-based websites. This website has you typing in your name and getting a great Star Wars-themed name back. It’s a little fun game to play with all yours friends to see what your alien Star Wars name would be.

8. Research more into the planets you’ll be visiting

We touched on this earlier with the lore you can read about in other books. In the full game, you’ll be able to play on Hoth, Endor, Tatooine and the previously unexplored planet, Sullust. So go do your research on what happened in the films on these planets and even in more stories there.

The Official Battlefront website has done a great job in showing their passion for the actual Star Wars universe and have been putting up some great posts on such. This post is one talking about all the blasters you can use in the game and their creation.
