True Gentlemen are far and few between these days with many a man not finding it appropriate to treat people with the same respect and attention that you used to get 50 years ago or so. 1. Always hold the door open for anyone within your vicinity, male or female
2. Always say “please” when you make a request whether it be making an order a restaurant or even asking someone you love to do something for you
3. And of course always say thank you whenever someone does you a service
4. Offer to carry a woman’s bags so she can hold your hand and her coffee at the same time
5. Don’t be afraid to wait in a store holding your girl’s jacket, bag and any extra accessories whilst she quickly tries something on in the mirror
6. Always offer to pay first for meals and drinks…
7. … and then only let them pay if you can see they really want to
8. Always let your wife/girlfriend know where you are, never leave her worrying what you’re up to
9. If you’re going to be late home then let her know the meeting is running late or whatever reason you have
10. Always treat people with respect whether they’re old, young, have a disability or a minority, you treat them how you’d treat your own mother
11. Choose what you believe in and stick by it
12. Have the right morals. You represent your lady and you represent the parents that brought you up, make them proud to be represented by you
13. Always offer her the umbrella if it is too small for the both of you
14. Always offer her your coat if it is cold outside and you can see them that she’s feeling the chill
15. Finally, remember all these rules and keep by them. Respect them. Work on them in your everyday life and you can be a true gentleman that any parents/wife/girlfriend or mother-in-law would be proud of
