I have a confession to make: I’ve been spending everyday for the past month listening to the entire archive of Bill Burr’s Monday Morning podcast, making my way to the present day. The MM Podcast, just like most podcasts or music, are fantastic to have in the background while you’re doing low-energy work, exercise or whatever chores you’re spending your day on. Lets take a look at ten of the best below.
Podcasts are a great way for comedians to throw out some unused material out there or even just ramble to gain themselves some traction. Bill Burr has been using his Monday Morning Podcast to do just that for over five years now. You have no reason not to be listening by now.
These two have a fantastic way of making everything in the news sound even more absurd. If you’ve seen Last Week Tonight at all, then this one is definitely for you.
One for the video gamers, this podcast is ran by three lads who have a YouTube channel called ContinueShow (which you should be watching) who decided to start somewhat of book club for video games. You can play along with them as they discuss what they think of the game. They’ve also started a video podcast on their usual YouTube channel.
The Joe Rogan Experience
Known for throwing out incredibly long podcasts, usually around three hours if not longer, Rogan gets some compelling guests on his podcast while keeping you laughing as well.
This is truly one for the nerds and the gamers. This is the podcast of a brother and sister, often with guests, who have a channel on YouTube called HAWP (Hey Ash Whatcha Playin’?) I can not recommend them both highly enough if you consider yourself into games.
Yet another video game podcast, this one is hosted mostly by developers or people within the gaming industry. For funny stories and gaming discussion, look no further.
This one is hosted by one of my favourite YouTubers, Satchbag Drakes, and one of the earlier mentioned lads from the ContinueShow. Instead of games again, this one is all about movie discussion.
Doug Stanhope’s Podcast
One of my all time favourite comedians, this is possibly the best comedy podcast out there. Along with various interviews over the years, this is one of the funniest podcasts you’ll ever listen to.
Distraction Pieces Podcast
Are you a fan of Scroobius Pip? If so, then you have no reason not to get on this Podcast. Seriously, just do it.
I would actually suggest you look into the Chip & Ironicus Let’s Plays before you give these a go, but they’re definitely good on their own. You decide for yourself.
