Have You Seen The New Facebook Reactions Yet?

Facebook is always looking to innovate with its ever ageing website. They’re always looking to bring in new ideas and new designs to try and add a more and more interaction with the website and make it less just a feed of videos of people doing silly things around the world.

Their most recent attempt at this is something they like to call “Facebook Reactions”. Now, for those of you who have yearned for a ‘dislike’ button, then you’ll be partly happy to see these Reactions.

Reactions is essentially a simple hold of the “Like” button away from being able to react to people’s posts in the form of different emojis that represents emotions. It’s a neat idea that eradicates the need for a ‘Dislike’ button, but at the same time adds in the ability to feel sad for somebody about something they’ve posted.

As you can see above, Reactions offers up five different well… reactions that you can add to your friends’ post. You’ve got the traditional Like, then Love, Haha, Happy, Wow, Sad and Angry. They work in a similar way to how Buzzfeed offers reactions to their posts. They’re supposed to express your feelings on the post in a more personal way than just the stale click of the ‘Like’ button.

Facebook are obviously hoping that this new feature will have people coming back and interacting with Facebook and posts a bit more again as they now know that people can show a more realistic reaction to their post rather than either ‘Liking’ it or leaving unliked.
