Intros To TV Shows Only 90s Kids Will Remember – I bet #10 is Your Favorite

Us 20-somethings have fond memories of some great shows we used to watch when were growing up. Therefore, for a little bit of nostalgia, we’ve gone out and had a look around to try and find some of the best intros to TV Shows that only us 90s kids would remember. We’ve got some of the classic great cartoons we used to watch and even some others in there for the older 90s kids. We’re sure you’re bound to find something nostalgic here though.

Scooby Doo

“Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you? We’ve got some work to do now!” I think you would be hard-stretched to find any person in their 20s and older who wouldn’t recognise these theme tune almost instantly. Having originally stemmed from 1969, it’s gone on to be the defining theme tune for Scooby Doo related TV Shows and Films.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer

One of the best shows out there that empowers women to be kickass Vampire-slayers. And it also had an intro that we all remember. The really cool rock music, the dark and horrifying scenes of Vampires and some of the ghouls she faced and more.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air

Is there a theme tune out there that could be recited by nearly everybody you know other than The Fresh Prince of Bel Air? The lyrics are known by nearly everybody and the song is still remixed in clubs and played at nearly every nostalgic party even over 20 years later.

The Flintstones

The great theme from The Flintstones that everybody can recite as it plays. Also the intro captures the first time Fred says “yabadabadoo” which he obviously uses a lot throughout the rest of the series and has become his catchphrase.

Friends

Another absolute cult classic that will be remembered by absolutely everybody is the theme tune that was played for 10 seasons, not altering once.

Batman: The Animated Series

This is by far one of the best representations of Batman we’ve ever seen on our screens and is often considered one of the best comic-book-based cartoons ever. The introduction that goes to it also encapsulates the brilliance surrounding the show.

Pokemon

This one doesn’t even need a mention. Some would argue that the introductory song alone has lived on longer than both the playing cards, the games and the TV Show itself which would be a fairly correct claim.

Spongebob SquarePants

One of the greatest cartoons of our modern times that hit so many topics and brilliant jokes that had an introduction song that everybody could remember also. Spongebob Squarepants is still being aired today and for good reason.

Taz-Mania

Who remembers this little gem? Taz-Mania was a show on every morning before you used to go to school and it would really wake you up and get you in the mood to go and colour in something and obviously act crazy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Another one of those introductions and theme tunes that most people will understand. The song is easy enough to remember and it mainly just repeats Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles a few times whilst going up an octave.

X-men: Animated Series

Another show that everybody watched as kids was the simply brilliant X-Men animated series back in the 90s. Up there with the likes of Spider-man and Batman as a really great introduction to go with a really great comic-book cartoon series.

Spider-man Animated Series

Finally on our list, we have the legendary introduction to the Spider-man animated series that we all used to know and love. Despite the original Spiderman theme tune likely being more memorable to learn the lyrics of, this one will definitely bring back a few memories of watching this on Saturday day cartoons.
