Meet Luhu, The World’s Saddest Cat Whose Frown Will Probably Melt Your Heart

First there was Grumpy Cat, then Albert the Pompous Cat, and now there is a new furry internet star in town. Say hello to Luhu, the saddest cat in the world!

Look at that little face!

He seems so glum!

And down in the dumps.

You may be wondering, “what possibly could have happened to make this little guy so sad?”

Well you’ll be glad to know that despite appearing to be a very depressed kitty, Luhu is well cared for and very much loved! His owner Maggie Liu says this is just the tabby’s natural face, and we have a feeling he gets whatever he wants with those puppy dog eyes (or should that be kitty cat eyes?)

In fact, Luhu has been this way since he was a kitten.

And Maggie loves posting pictures of her ‘baby’ on Instagram.

However, Luhu isn’t an only child. He has two brothers called Barher and Bardie, who have a more cheerful disposition.

Maggie says the felines have the same parents, but that their “faces, tastes, and personalities are totally different”. Like a lot of human siblings then!

Luhu has already melted hearts in his home country of China, and is gradually taking over the rest of the world. His Instagram account already has over 90.8k followers, and he has been compared to Puss in Boots from Shrek 2.

Yep, we definitely see the resemblance!
