Try to Guess The Location As Photographer Points Camera Wrong Way At World’s Most Visited Locations

If you’ve ever visited any of the world’s most iconic and beautiful landmarks or monuments, you’ll probably be well aware of the fact that you’ll be surrounded by hundreds of people trying to get the perfect picture. This can make it a little more difficult to get your own pretty snap. But British photographer Oliver Curtis bypassed this problem by simply turning the camera in the opposite direction.

Curtis told Creative Boom about the inspiration for his Volte-face collection after visiting the Pyramids of Giza. “In the mid-distance I saw a newly constructed golf course, its fairways an intense green,” he said on Creative Boom. “I found this visual sandwich of contrasting color, texture and form intriguing…because of the oddness of my position; standing at one of the great wonders of the world facing the ‘wrong’ way.” This photographer points his camera the wrong way at the world’s most visited locations.

Instead of pointing the camera towards the towering and awe inspiring Christ The Redeemer statue in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, the photographer captures an incredible view in the opposite direction, as well as some humble workers taking a break.
