Last Friday, the Internet was just doing it’s usual thing when all of a sudden a Reddit user by the name of Lumpawarroo posted his theory on why Jar Jar Binks was ever introduced into the Star Wars Universe in the first place and has absolutely blown everybody’s minds with a theory that not only could be possible but a theory that makes all fans of the franchise watch the films completely differently.
User Lumpawarroo has posted a very in-depth theory that analyses different scenes that involve the Gungan from Naboo was in and deters from it that a lot of the reason he was in the film was that he was actually the Sith lord and the Phantom Menace that brought Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side that eventually turned him into Darth Vader.
Lumpawarroo stresses the idea that Jar Jar Binks is the only character in the films that exercises great skill and “luck” and is never considered a Jedi or Sith. “[Jar Jar] so thoroughly convinces us that he’s nothing more than a harmless dunce with his inane dialogue and cowardly-lion act. He also manages to convince us that he’s a bumbling oaf in the midst of pitched battle… even though he’s always incredibly, amazingly successful. Whether single-handedly taking down a Battledroid tank, or unleashing a barrage of Boombas on their front lines, or precisely targeting multiple enemies with a blaster tangled around his ankle (!!!), we simply roll our eyes and attribute it to dumb ‘luck.'”
We don’t want to spoil it all for you and you should definitely go and check it out here. But we do have to say that we highly doubt that this is real, but it’s an incredibly airtight theory that if the directors choose could definitely be implemented into a later Star Wars film. However, you’ve got to ask the question as to why they’d never fully reveal the story earlier on if it was true. Plus, how could THIS guy be a genius Sith Lord?
