Have any of you heard of John Wayne Bobbitt? The man was made infamous after him and his wife became embroiled in a court case that was highly covered by the media at the time. His wife Lorena claimed that John would beat her, indulging in domestic violence that pushed her to go what she did. While Bobbitt slept, Lorena crept into the room with a knife before removing the unthinkable, causing all men who ever heard this story to cringe heavily and reconsider how they were treating their girlfriends and wives.
Since then, the couple were thrown into infamy, becoming the go to reference to where domestic violence can lead and how popular culture can often make celebrities out of the most unlikely of people. However, with this story I believe we might have a new contender for the go to reference. In North Carolina last month, a woman was arrested and charged with “Malicious Castration” after biting into her boyfriend’s genitals.
I know, I know. But stick with us here. From the mugshot offered by the Onslow Country Sheriff’s office, it’s clear that the woman in question had also received some injuries based on the bandage wrapped around her head. That being said, this is only an assumption and similar to the above story regarding the Bobbett’s, it could come out that these were injuries that lead to the eventual attack on the man. Until further information comes out of the story, we can only assume what could’ve happened here, but a headline including the phrase “malicious castration” is too good to pass up writing about.
Unsurprisingly, I was unable to use many photographs or pictures pertaining to the subject of the article while I was writing it, so I settled on just searching cringe on google and putting in things that made sense with the subject matter. Obviously, this is a fairly unpleasant and odd story that will have caused many of you to gurn and cringe your way through it. That being said, what do you think of the story?
