Here’s 8 Videos Of Some Of The World’s Coolest World Records Being Broken

People have broken all sorts of really amazing world records. Some of them are incredible feats of human achievement, whereas others are a bit more bizarre, to say the least. Here are 8 videos of some of the world’s coolest world records being broken.

  1. Largest wave surfed

Ocean explorer Garrett McNamara set the amazing record of largest wave surfed by surfing a ridiculously huge 78-foot wave off the coast of Nazaré in Portugal.

2. Longest marble run

This incredible marble run was set up in the town of Elgg in Switzerland. Once the marble’s been set off, it travels a staggering 2,963 feet along the course.

 3. Longest distance swam underwater with one breath

Carlos Coste from Venezuela managed to successfully break his own world record for longest distance swam underwater with just one breath. He swam a very impressive 580 feet!

4. Largest margarine sculpture

Devwrat Anand Jategaonkar, an Indian chef who features on the TV show Mejwani Paripoorna Kitchen, is known for creating impressive food sculptures. This one broke the world record for the largest margarine sculpture, weight a hefty 1506.800 kg!

5. Most layered bed of nails sandwich

Not the easiest of videos to watch by any means. If you’re brave enough to watch it, you’ll see a group of five people from India form a bed of nails sandwich, breaking a world record in the process.

6. Most baseball bats broken with the back

Tomi Lotta from Finland managed to break the record for most baseball bats broke with the back – he managed to break 16 in just one minute.

7. Most wet T-shirts put on in one minute

Carsten Zipfel from Germany managed to put on seven wet T-shirts in a minute, setting a world record in the process.

8. Most concrete blocks broken by hand

Not for the faint of heart, this video shows Ali Bahçetepe from Turkey breaking a total of 1,134 concrete blocks with his hand. This video was filmed in 2010, though Bahçetepe later broke his own record later that year by smashing 1,145 blocks in a minute.
