It’s become something of a tradition for death row inmates to be able to request what they have for their last meal before their execution. Some indulge, while others opt for a simpler final meal. Here are photo recreations of what the last meals of seven death row inmates would have looked like:

Stephen Anderson
Stephen Anderson was 49 when he was sentenced to death by lethal injection for charges of prison escape, assault, burglary and seven counts of murder. He was executed in California’s San Quentin State Prison in 2002 and his last meal consisted of two grilled cheese sandwiches, pecan pie, radishes, chocolate chip ice-cream, a hominy/corn mixture and a pint of cottage cheese.
2. Victor Feguer
Victor Feguer from Florida was 28 when he was executed by lethal injection for kidnap and murder. His last meal request was incredibly simple: all he asked for was a single olive with the pit in.
3. Timothy McVeigh
Timothy was behind the Oklahoma City bombing, an attack which resulted in the deaths of 168 people and left more than 600 injured. Sentenced to death by lethal injection, he requested two pints of mint chocolate chip ice-cream for his last meal.
4. Ted Bundy
Ted, who was sentenced to death by electric chair for necrophilia, rape, prison escape and 35 counts of murder, declined a special last meal and so he was given the traditional last meal of milk, juice, toast with butter and jam, hash browns, eggs (over easy) and steak (medium-rare).
5. Ronnie Threadgill
Ronnie Threadgill was executed by lethal injection at the age of 40 for having committed murder. For his last meal, he had put in a request of mashed potatoes with country gravy, baked chicken, sweet peas, vegetables, bread, water, punch and tea, however the state of Texas had abolished last meal requests, so Ronnie was given same meal as all the other prisoners.
6. Ronnie Lee Gardner
Ronnie Gardner was sentenced to death by firing squad for robbery, burglary and two counts of murder; his last meal consisted of steak, lobster tail, vanilla ice-cream and apple pie, which he ate while watching the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
7. John Wayne Gacy
Sentenced to death by lethal injection for rape and a total of 33 counts of murder, John Gacy’s last meal consisted of a pound of strawberries, french fries, 12 fried shrimp and a bucket of original recipe KFC.
