Ever wondered what Disney princesses would look like as real people? Well, artist Jirka Väätäinen has answered your prayers. The Helinski-based graphic designer, illustrator and photo-manipulator has used his many creative and technical skills to show us what Disney heroines would look like in the real world. (Spoiler – They’re BEAUTIFUL.)
The talented digital painter began the series in 2011 while a student at Arts University College at Bournemouth, and surprisingly began with a villian.
“I decided to entertain myself by Photoshopping together a “real life” version of my favourite Disney villain, Ursula,” wrote Väätäinen stated on his blog, referring to the sea witch in the 1989 animated classic ‘The Little Mermaid’.
His impressive collection, now contains Belle from ‘Beauty and the Beast’, Cinderella and Aurora from ‘Sleeping Beauty’, as well as 14 other female Disney characters. The latest is ‘Peter Pan’s’ Wendy, but Väätäinen has also been working on some very handsome Disney princes.
