So, as we all start to think about Christmas shopping over the next few weekends, we thought it would be a good time to let you know of some of the best mobile applications you can get to help you out with your shopping. Some of these applications will help you spend, some will help you save, but they will all help you in some way or another this Christmas. We hope you find one you’ll find useful.
Etsy is one of the biggest places in the world to explore some of the best hand-made products you can buy. There’s no doubt you’ll find some great products on here that you’ll be able to personalise or make really reflect the person you’re buying them for. It’s a great place for everything from home products to clothing and even jewellery.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past decade or more than we’ve all heard of eBay. Yet, despite its longevity in the selling business, it’s still surprising how many good deals you’ll find on this app/website. It’s a great app to have on you whilst you’re out and about too as you can quickly scan a barcode of a product and find it on eBay to see if it’s cheaper.
Amazon is another app that needs no introduction, yet once again, like eBay, it’s surprising how many times you’ll find a much better deal on Amazon than in the shops. Plus, like the eBay app it has the ability to scan the barcode and even the cover of the product and then save it to a wish list for later.
Evernote is, without a doubt, the best note-taking application you can get. It’s going to be great when you’re walking around or online shopping and looking to create a list that you can check off. It’s available on nearly all platforms and synchronises across all of them and therefore, is just great for keeping everything together.
Santa’s Bag is a great little application available for iOS for keeping your Christmas List in order. Not only does it allow you to count total costs of presents along with the ideas but you also get a countdown of Christmas so it doesn’t creep up on you and you’re out desperately trying to find presents for everyone.

This is going to be bigger and bigger over the next few years but if you want to jump on the trend early, there aren’t many easier ways these days to pay for something than to simply tap your phone to the pay machine. With Android and Apple pay you can do exactly this as long as you have the supported devices (any NFC-supported device for Android and the iPhone 6 or newer for iOS).

To use Apple Pay, you need to set it up in settings under your Wallet application that comes with the phone.
When it comes to Christmas, you’re always looking for deals that will cut down the price of your overall shop and there aren’t many better places than Groupon to get these deals. It’s a great app to find out some great vouchers and discount codes when it comes to shopping and gift ideas.
