Now we are at the coldest part of the year in 2025, where snow is always on the radar and every morning you are greeted by an iced-up windscreen and feeling cold to the bone, why not have a little fun with the miserable weather! Obviously, whenever it snows we are all quick to regress to our childhoods and build snowmen, lay on the ground and create snow angels or even write silly messages on people’s cars and windows. Last year, in 2024, we saw the introduction of the snow selfie, because why not combine snow with the biggest trend yet, selfies! But now we have a new contender which might be the creepiest but funniest trend yet, surrounding freezing temperatures and well, ‘freezing your pants off!’.
You might have guessed it by now, it is the hilarious #frozenpants craze, that everyone seems to be joining in on! This trend just reinforces just how cold it is and that we are all indeed freezing our pants off… so instead of putting more layers on #frozenpants means taking those layers off and leaving them frozen in your garden! This trend is probably one of the most stupid but has to be up there with the funniest, when you pass a garden and see what looks like a row of pants walking around.
The brilliance of this trend is that it is so cold that it doesn’t take long for anything to freeze, including jeans and trousers, so if they are left outside upright they will be sure to freeze as if someone is still wearing them and stand in their place! Some people have actually thought that they had seen a ghost because of just seeing upright clothing but no person to wear them.
It is crazy how much this trend has taken off, as what better thing to do when it is too cold out to play, then have fun doing crazy things like freezing pants! Once more, this has made for an awesome prank for so many people coming home to see their best pair of trousers stood upright, frozen on the front garden!
