9. Dead Space
Dead Space was one of the first big-name horror games that utilised a big company and a lot of money. It also took an interesting approach mixing horror and sci-fi together to create a really quite scary game.
Dead Space features sci-fi weaponry, lots of gore, narrow hallways and a surprisingly decent back story to the whole thing. As you progress through Dead Space 2 and 3, the games get better but the storylines get weaker. However, all three games are brilliant but the first is a horrifyingly scary classic.
