Mary Berry eat your heart out. There’s a new queen of baking, and her cakes are horrifically appetising.
LA-based artist and Gothic baker Christine H McConnell’s ultra-realistic creations are so bad, they’re good. A tasty remedy to Instagram’s array of perfectly frosted cupcakes and pastel coloured macarons, her horror movie-inspired delicacies dare you to take a bite.
Waffle cone octapus monsters anyone?
She uploads her flavoursome pastries to her Instagram account, which has an impressive 144k followers, and her interests on Facebook include ‘cats’ and ‘sugar.’
However, baking isn’t McConnell’s only talent. She is also an accomplished photographer and make-up artist, who makes the clothes and styles all the models for her shoots, many which star herself. Her unique work has been featured in magazines, seen on billboards and appeared in national advertising campaigns, and to top it off, she does all of this while managing to look immaculate in vintage-inspired attire!
