David Beckham is a worldwide name and face that has dominated the world for a good 15 years or so now. However, some thought that after his football career finished, his name may fade away and his influence within pop culture may become smaller. However, he has proven everybody wrong and actually posted his biggest earnings ever in 2015. Well, we say “he”, we’re talking the ‘Beckham’ branding. This encompasses all of the Beckham family and all their earnings, including Victoria’s clothes line.
But how much exactly did they earn? When you’re one of the biggest names in the world, loved by almost everyone, how much money can you expect to make in a single year? Beckham’s biggest year before now earned him a cool $75 million which ranekd him second behind Michael Jordan in the highest-paid athletes back in 2014. However, this year has seen a huge surge for Beckham with his H&M line coming out in the UK, his Instagram account gaining a huge number of followers and therefore, more interest in him and much more.
Anyway, let’s stop stalling. The figure that the Beckham brand earned in 2015 was a whopping £65 million (roughly $95m). That’s a staggering £68k ($99k) per day in wages. For most people, that takes a good few years to earn that sort of money. Oh, and that’s AFTER tax.
Victoria and David are worth around £508m ($743m) between them. And documents filed yesterday with Companies House show they reported profits of £12.5m ($18.3m) from the company Beckham Brand Holdings (BBH). On top of this, David’s Footwork Productions firm made an additional £12.5m ($18.3m) in profits. making them a total of around £25m ($36.6m) in profits.
Big news for the Beckhams is that his developing football franchise in the US has struck up a huge partnership with a Hong-Kong-based firm to continue the “development of the David Beckham brand worldwide.”
So not only is DB one of the best-looking men alive with a great family and plenty of homes, but he’s also raking in more money than he knows what to do with it. Reportedly Victoria and David gave themselves £3m ($4.4m) each from the profits to spend. Not jealous at all Beckhams, not jealous at all!
