Cake baking and decorating can be quite difficult, especially when you’re trying at home without much experience or help. But you would expect that when you order something from a bakery it would arrive perfectly cooked and professionally decorated. However, not all cakes turn out so well. Take a look at this collection of 15 cakes that are both homemade and bakery bought to see just how badly things can turn out!
These cupcakes were created with a kit but unfortunately don’t look quite like they were supposed to on the box. It might be the green tinged frosting that’s the problem.
Apparently this was meant to be a dolphin but we’ve never seen anything that looked quite like it. At least it’s happy.
Unfortuntely this Cinderella cake didn’t go quite to plan and looks more like something that would scare a child on their birthday.

We genuinely couldn’t work out what this is supposed to be, but we do know it’s very scary.

A camouflage wedding cake never sounds like a good idea, but the outcome is a nightmare that looks like it has been sitting around for three weeks before the big day.
This plaid wedding cake was sure to make everyone tearful, but for all the wrong reasons.

It’s hard to understand what went through the baker’s mind as they decided to ice words right over someone’s face, but it’s unlikely that the people who commissioned this cake sent them any more business after such a big cake fail.
