While I don’t pay much attention to the fashion world, it seems that many are starting to wear their button up shirts backwards in an attempt to take a fashion staple and turn it on its head. In an attempt to see what weird things are going on around the world in fashion, I’ve compiled a list of some of the more odd movements.
Thailand – Hitler Clothing
Nazi imagery, especially the depiction of Hitler, is everywhere in Thailand. This incredible lack of respect for how damaging this imagery can be is widely ignored, with a high level of fashion being based on the idea of Hitler and the Sieg Heil.
Everywhere – Meggings
Do I even have to explain why these are horrible? This fashion trend needs to die a death asap, because these people look ridiculous.
Botswana – Metal Heads
I spent a lot of my youth around people who would be considered metalheads, my formative years shaped by the culture and fashion as well. That being said, we looked nothing like this at all.
Mexico – Elf Boots
Once again, do I have to explain why these extended clown shoes are ridiculous? This odd form of footwear not only looks silly, it looks like they might be pretty dangerous as well. Watch your eyes people!
Netherlands – Eye Jewellery
Ouch. I really don’t think I’d be able to sit there and have this stuff be placed on my eyes. I’d struggle with contacts nevermind something like this.
China – Facekini
Not only do these things look weird, they also look highly uncomfortable. I can’t imagine you’d be able to wear these on the beach for very long before your sweaty face would itch you into submission.
Canada – Eye Tattoos
Did I say I couldn’t handle eye jewelry earlier on? Scratch that. I’d love to take one of those implants over an eye tattoo. That really does look nightmarish.
