Quite possibly the most famous body part insurance story from the last couple of decades is the one of Jennifer Lopez insuring her rather famous bottom. That being said, there’s a whole rank of celebrities who have had various parts of their body insured just in case they ever had their livelihood taken from them in the form of a gory tragedy. Below is a list of some of the more ridiculous.
Rihanna – Legs
Coming in at $500,000 each, Rihanna’s expensive pins have been likened to Tina Turner, a woman who’s famous legs have also been values at a high price.
Dolly Parton – Breasts
The most modest number on this list, Parton’s chest clocks in at $600,000 for the whole lot, rather than per boob. The pair have become so famous it’s fairly surprising that Dolly’s body ranks the lowest on this list.
Julia Roberts – Smile
The pearly whites contained within Julia Roberts claim a high price at around $30mn. How exactly do you insure your smile? Does that include the teeth, tongue and lips? Do they all have their own individual price?
Taylor Swift – Legs
Arguably making far above the sum of $40mn, Swift’s legs actually come in at a fairly low price when compared to the popstar’s salary. I don’t understand how Swift’s legs are important to her livelihood but, they are a good set of legs it must be said.
Mariah Carey – Legs
I know we’ve already had to sets of legs on this list but bear with me, because this addition is worth it. Carey’s legs are insured at an unbelievable $1bn. That is just insane. Have any of you ever even thought about Mariah Carey and legs together until you read that title up there? The crazy life of the rich and famous ey?
Gene Simmons – Tongue
Simmons is famous for his long tongue, the appendage being fairly intergral to the KISS live show and his public image in general. Never too far from any kind of money grabbing, the bassist has his tongue insured at $1mn, which is coincidentally the same amount as Mily Cyrus has hers insured for.
Tom Jones – Chest Hair
I don’t really know what to say about this one. Jones’ chest hair comes in at $7mn. I am, just astounded.
