You might not think it, but life in your early twenties vs life in your late twenties can be two totally different ball games. Here are some of the main differences just a few years can make:
Multitasking leaves with age:
Early twenties multitasking =
Late twenties multitasking =
You know what it’s like. In your early twenties you could study for an exam, watch your favourite Netflix show and listen to Radio 1 all at once. And that was a slow day. When you get towards the end of your twenties, Radio 1 is alien to you, work is exhausting enough AND you need to really concentrate on a show to understand what’s going on. Even then it can be really confusing.
What your get excited over is very, very different:
Early twenties =
Music festivals!
Late twenties =
Food festivals!
When you’re all young and enjoying life in your early twenties, you want to go to fancy music festivals in tiny shorts and camp outdoors. Come your late twenties you just want to go festivals that involve food. We like food when we’re older.
Going clubbing:
Early twenties =
Late twenties =
That’s right, in your early twenties you’re out till all hours of the morning partying and dancing. By the time your in you late twenties you’ll be at home sleeping as you won’t want to enter a club ever again in your life. Trust us.
When you find out someone is talking behind your back:
Early twenties =
Late twenties =
Gossip will hurt your feelings when you’re a young early twenties sapling. By the time you’re old and jaded in your late twenties you just won’t care. Then you’ll only care about your electricity bill going up and Lurpak butter being on special offer.
What you think is cool:
Early twenties =
Late twenties =
Your early twenties is all about trends, being all hipster and knowing all the cool places to go. As you get older, you really don’t care what trends are. What you really think is cool is being able to have an afternoon nap on a Saturday and still be tired enough to go to bed at 11pm.
Hanging out with friends:
Early twenties =
Late twenties =
In your early twenties you were all bouncy and desperate to hang out with friends every night. You had too much energy. But don’t worry, by your late twenties your energy drips away and every time your phone rings you hide. Sure you could go to the pub on a Saturday night BUT you could also watch Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway in your pajamas.
Self confidence:
Early twenties =
Late twenties =
When you’re younger you can lack self confidence and take what other people say to heart. Don’t worry, you get to the stage where you think everything about yourself is AMAZING.
Losing weight:
Early twenties =
Late twenties =
Dieting in your early twenties is easy. You skip one burger and lose 5lbs. You won’t be so lucky in your late twenties so enjoy it while you can.
