Everything You Need To Know About Sam Smith’s New Music

It’s been over three years since Sam Smith burst on to the scene with his debut album In the Lonely Hour, which went on to receive critical acclaim and selling in excess of 12 million copies worldwide. After some time out of the spotlight, the singer is gearing up to release new music and here’s everything you need to know about it.

‘Too Good at Goodbyes’

The lead single from Sam’s second album has already been released. ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ was promoted with billboard in London, New York and Los Angeles before its release on 8 September. The song’s official music video was then released on 18 September. Since the song came out, it’s peaked at number one in the UK and Australia, and number five in the US, while also charting in the top 20 in many different countries worldwide. Sam has also released another track off the album, the gospel song ‘Pray’

The Thrill of It All

Sam’s second album will be called The Thrill of It All. It’s set to be released on 3 November later this year and will come in standard and deluxe editions. The standard edition will feature 10 tracks and have a running time of 35:38, while the deluxe edition will have 14 tracks in total and a longer running time of 49:42. The only collaboration on the album is a song called ‘Peace’ which has artist YEBBA featuring on it.

To promote the album, Sam will be embarking on a tour that will start in Sydney, Australia on 16 January 2018 and conclude in Calgary, Canada, on 13 September the same year. So far only the one Australian date and several dozen North America dates have been announced, though chances are European dates will be announced soon. Those who purchase tickets online will receive a copy of the album.
