7 Hilarious Cover Songs That Are Better Than The Original

If you liked the original versions then you’ll love these covers even more.

‘Style’ by Taylor Swift

Brainy duo AsapSCIENCE put the fun into facts with their informative cover of Taylor Swift’s ‘Style’.

‘Get Lucky’ by Daft Punk

It’s hard to believe how catchy this Mario Paint Composer version of Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ is. Warning: You will want to boogie along.

‘Space Oddity’ by David Bowie

No one can top the music legend that is David Bowie, but astronaut Chris Hadfield did have one huge advantage – he actually performed the time-honoured ditty in space! Plus, he deserves extra points for successfully playing guitar in zero gravity.

‘Party Rock Anthem’ by LMFAO

This parody of cheesy 2011 hit ‘Party Rock Anthem’ by LMFAO is for all the people who decided to stay in last Friday night and regretted it.

‘Ironic’ by Alanis Morrissette

It’s hard to deny that the seminal 90s tune ‘Ironic’ by Alanis Morissette isn’t a classic, however, it does have one major flaw. The Queen of rock-angst doesn’t seem to quite grip the meaning of ironic, which has led to countless jokes on her behalf for the last two decades. But this version entitled ‘It’s Finally Ironic’ by Rachael Hurwitz sets things right.

‘My Way’ by The Backstreet Boys

There is nobody better at creating musical parodies than Weird Al Yankovic. This man has been making us laugh with his hilarious cover songs since the 80s, long before before YouTube was even a thing. Who can forget the 2003 classic that is the ‘eBay’ Song? Catchier and more intelligent than the original version by the Backstreet Boys, prepare to have this stuck in your head ALL DAY LONG.

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by Queen

Ok, so this one might not be better than the original. After all, there are very few people who can top the vocal talents of Freddie Mercury. Still, you can’t go wrong with The Muppets, and this version is bloody adorable (if not a little bit mad).
