It is fair to say Subway is one of the greatest fast food lunch chains around and the idea you can build your own sandwich in front of you has not really been beaten, plus it is super cool being able to pick your own fillings and see your delicious sandwich being made. However, McDonalds have put a spanner in the works and taken a leaf out of Subways book whilst making it modern too with the build your own burger and unlimited refill of fries… we promise this is not too good to be true!
Here we have a complete refresh of the brand and an evolution of McDonalds led by new owners of whats to be expected one of the most popular restaurants within the chain. McDonalds has gone futuristic and all you can eat, which paired together there does not seem much better on the planet!
The new ‘McDonalds of the future’ is planned to be a huge 6,500 square foot restaurant filled with luxurious chairs, neutral tones (yes no more garish yellow and reds) and an all round upgraded feel to it. Once more, you will be able to order from tablets and big screens, which is all rolled into the $1.59 million price tag to create this super chain’s newest store. The owners of this new store are Chris and Karri Habiger with a vision that might just take off globally.
They spoke out in interview saying, ‘Today’s customers seek a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, so we’re committed to providing a modern look and feel to this restaurant.’ These renovations also include a huge menu change which is where Subway might have helped with the inspiration! The menu will have a customisation feature where there will be hundreds of toppings, breads and sauces to build different burgers. They said ‘The kiosks will make it easier for people to go through the hundreds of different choices to build the burgers of your dreams’. This customisation is even extended to the burger type such as chicken, beef or veggie as well as desserts too.
The couple already own six successful McDonalds stores and have a served table system, but now this new version is all the range! Does unlimited fries and customised burgers excite you?
