5 Reasons the Star Wars Release Delay is Actually OK & We Don’t Need to Mourn It

If you haven’t heard the news yet, I’m sorry to have to be the one that breaks it to you. The untitled Star Wars: Episode 8 has been pushed back 7 months from it’s original release date of May 26 2017, to December 2017. But before you let out an uncontrollable groan, we’re going to put forward an argument explaining why it’s probably not the worst news in the world. Here’s 5 reasons the Star Wars release delay is actually ok.

4. You’re going to get a great Christmas present again

Star Wars fans across the globe were given the greatest present they could ask for at the end of 2015 with the arrival of The Force Awakens. Yes, it sucks that we’re going to have to wait an extra seven months to find out what’s been going in a galaxy far, far away, but at least we’re all guaranteed a great cinematic gift. Even if your parents have only got you a few pairs of pants and socks from under the tree, you can be guaranteed that Finn, ray and co will have you covered.
