Hands up who doesn’t like a little bit of late night QVC or Ideal World? It’s a guilty pleasure that many of us succumb to on the quiet. You know what it’s like, you’ve been out for a drink or two and are feeling relaxed and merry – on goes shopping telly and five days later a gold plated lettuce crisper with LED light and 10x magnification mirror arrives on your doorstep.
What happens when selly telly goes wrong? Here are some of our favourite and most hilarious clips of presenters making absolute fools of themselves, but carrying on like troopers nevertheless!

Have you seen it? Is it on the trolley?
Janice Phillips’ Titanic quote went down slightly quicker than she did…shopping telly GOLD.
2. Never eat and talk at the same time…
Dean Wilson and Paul Brodel. Two finer gents you’ll never see. They just shouldn’t work together. ‘Cos it all goes pear shaped. Or pie shaped in this case.
3. Never work with children, animals or vacuum cleaners
QVC presenter Charlie Brook can’t stop laughing when guest presenter Catherine makes a total hash of her Hoover demo. Cruel, but funny.
4. Happy Christmas – he’s had one too many sherries!
Anthony Heywood. Always the consummate professional. Unless it’s nearly Christmas, in which case – forget it!
5. Put your teeth in – it helps you to talk!
Alison Young, proving that no matter how carefully you try, sometimes you just can’t help getting your words muddled up.
6. So many bloopers, so little time…
Martyn Parker is a presenter who is so accident prone, he has his own blooper reel. Take it away Martyn. On second thoughts, you might drop it – leave it there…
7. I LOVE RED ONION. NO, honest I do!! Oh…
Charlie Brook again. He shouldn’t be let out….
8. Line ’em up, watch ’em drop…
Watch these bottles tumble like a house of cards…
9. It’s polite to say “excuse me”
Oh Pipa, we thought you were ever such a lady. Seems not…
10. Last Christmas I gave you one…a pie…A PIE!!!!
Watch as Brett Hornby and Dale Franklin struggle to come to terms with eating pies and presenting live TV at the same time. Priceless.
