It’s almost six years since the final Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, was released. The hugely popular eight-part film series is one of the most successful ever and launched the careers of many actors, in particular the careers of the three main leads. So what are they up to these days?

Daniel Radcliffe
The main star of the films has had a steady stream of work since the end of the series. Not only has he featured in numerous films (The Woman in Black, Horns, Now You See Me 2), he’s also done a fair bit of theatre work both in London and in New York, including starring in the musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. In 2017, he’s set to feature in the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead in London and star in the film Jungle, an Australian adventure film about a group of friends who venture deep into a jungle with a guide who turns out to be fraudulent. He also has several films coming out in 2018.
2. Emma Watson
While Daniel has since focused on acting, Emma has done a much wider variety of things since the films ended. She completed a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Brown University in 2014 and has dabbled in modelling, doing shoots for Lancôme and Burberry. She also became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador and launched the HeForShe campaign to encourage men to back gender equality. 2017 is set to be a big year for Emma, as she’s appearing as Belle in the highly anticipated film Beauty and the Beast, whose trailer was viewed an astonishing 127.6 million times in 24 hours.
3. Rupert Grint
Rupert has focused on acting since the end of the series and has racked up a number of TV, film and theatre credits. Most of his films, such as Moonwalkers and CBGB, have been independent films, rather than big-budget ones. He doesn’t have any films in the pipeline, though he is set to star in the TV series Imperial City, about a comic book world that’s actually real and needs saving.
