The fast food sandwich franchise decided ot lend a helping hand to construction workers helping to build the Freedom Tower at the World Trade Centre site. A mobile trailer has been going vertical alongside the progression of construction on the building. With a hydraulic lift, it’s been rising steadily with each new floor. That means workers don’t have to spend time getting from the upper floors to street level for food, especially considering they only have a 30 minute lunch break
Impressively, Subway CEO Richard Schragger beat nine other franchises in the bid to get the chain placed on site by not demanding any profit for the venture. Very patriotic and pretty impressive.
