Through a little bit of trial and error, over the time make up and beauty tricks have become very weird, wonderful and slightly crazy. However, why stick the normal daily grind of foundation and mascara when you could try out these cool and slightly weird cosmetic tips.

Eyelash Glue

Eyelash glue is no longer the iffy smelling liquid used to apply strip lashes but can also be used to make your eyes look bigger, more open and lifted. If you feel you would fit in the hooded eye category then simply apply some glue and stick your eye lid up!

Eye Shadow

Do you have a questionable shade of eye shadow that would be far too bright for your eyes or day dream of having that same shimmery shade as a lip colour? Then read on because if you simply mix a few drops of water with some eye shadow powder you will see a lip tint ‘paste’.

Green On Blemishes

If someone asked you to apply a green coloured cream, unless you’re a big fan of shrek, a lot of would say no. However, it has been proven that green covers red very well so say good bye to blemishes, spots or unwanted rosey cheeks as apply green under your foundation.

Red On Darkness

Using red (such as a bit of red lipstick or red contouring cream) on dark circles under the eye will cover and really lift the colour! Obviously, cover that blended red with foundation and you’ll be good to go!

Nose Shaping

If you aren’t a fan of your nose or think it is too big/fat/round then extremely expensive plastic surgery is no longer the resolution. Contour your nose to create the effect with colour that your nose is a different shape.

Brow Shape

If you have short or can’t quite get that arch right then use an eye brow brush and pencil to neaten and create the right shape, then use highlighter under the brow to make it stand out more and extenuate the shape of it.

Potato Peel

There is nothing worse than trying to scrub off fake tan for hours and this can sometimes we very sore. However, if you use the ‘juice’ of a potato, by rubbing peel on the areas of tan you want to lift and then exfoliate it should remove far quicker and easier.

Coconut oil is the new miracle beauty product. You can use it for teeth whitening, hair treatments, make up remover, weight loss (to cook with), moisturiser and so much more.

Hair Spray

If you need your makeup to last a long time and are scared you might smudge or sweat it off then, cover your eyes, hold your breath and from a distance spray your face with hair spray. This is not great for your skin but on the odd occasion will work to lock in that make up.

Shaving Foam And Listerine

If you have dry, cracked feet and heels but do not want something as harsh sounding as something that ‘grates’ the skin away, then mix Listerine mouth wash and shaving foam together to make a rub which will soften the hard skin.

If you hate the size of your forehead, use a contouring technique with light and dark shades to reduce the size of your forehead by how the light hits it.

Tea Spoon

If you feel you have puffy eyes, then pop a cold tea spoon on them and this will not ily feel relieving but will also reduce the puffiness.

Lemons are an unsung hero just like coconut oil, they are a great way to bleach your hair without any damage like with actual bleach. Just cover the areas you want to lighten with lemon juice and relax in the sun.

Toothpaste

Toothpaste isn’t just great for cleaning teeth but is also great at reducing and clearing those pesky spots. Pop a small amount on the spotty area before bed and wake up with those blemishes dried out and cleared up.

Talc

If you don’t have time to wash your hair but you’re out of dry shampoo them simply pop some baby powder aka talc in your hair and this will soak up any unwanted oils.
