The definition of marriage has changed over the last few years, with couples and families becoming more diverse and interesting as time goes on. Trash the dress photography – aka where a bride destroys her dress in the name of a unique wedding album – is popular these days and has produced some very interesting results! The trend was started by Las Vegas-based photographer John Michael Cooper in 2005, after he became tired of creating the same old wedding photos. He said of his innovative concept: “In fashion photography, they often put really pretty people in very ugly places. I’m applying that technique to weddings.” The idea is to be as inventive as possible, and there are plenty of brides that have risen to the challenge.
