From original movies to sequels and remakes, there are plenty of great films coming out that the whole family can enjoy together. So instead of spending the evening bingewatching Netflix, book a family trip to the cinema to see one of these films.

Finding Dory, July 17 (USA)
Finding Nemo is one of the most beloved family films of all time and this sequel is sure to be a hit with families across the world. This time it’s all about Dory, who goes on a quest to reunite her mother and father, with a little bit of help from Nemo and Marlin, of course.
2. The Angry Birds Movie, May 13 (UK), May 20 (USA)
Based on the wildly popular video game, this movie is all about a bunch of birds living in paradise who investigate the arrival of a group of mysterious pigs. Expect lots of explosions and things being knocked down.
3. Moana, November 23 (USA)
The film’s titular character, a young navigator born in the South Pacific, sets off on a journey to find a mythical island and teams up with Maui, a legendary demi-god, on the way. Moana will be Disney’s first Polynesian princess.
4. Ice Age 5: Collision Course, July 22
The fifth film in the hugely successful Ice Age franchise, Collision Course is all about one small step and one giant mess. Scrat is determined to find his elusive acorn and his quest takes him beyond Earth, where he triggers a series of events that threaten the planet. Diego, Manny and Sid embark on a fun-filled journey to save themselves from danger, encountering weird and wonderful characters along the way.
5. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, May 27
A sequel to the 2010 film Alice in Wonderland, this film sees Alice return to the zany and whimsical world of Underland, where she has to travel back in time in order to save the Mad Hatter.
6. Storks, September 23
Imagine a world where storks don’t deliver babies any more, but instead they work for an internet retail company and deliver packages to people. One day, there’s a mix-up and a stork named Junior ends up having to deliver a baby, just like what storks used to do.
7. The Secret Life of Pets, June 24 (UK), July 8 (USA)
Sure to be a hit with pet lovers, this film is about Max, who lives his life as the favorite pet, until there’s a new pet on the scene, a mongrel called Duke. They have to eventually put their differences aside to foil a plot by a fluffy white bunny called Snowball to unite abandoned pets and take revenge on happy pets and their owners.
8. The BFG, July 1 (USA)
This fantasy film is based on the book by Roald Dahl and follows Sophie, who befriends a big friendly giant on her quest to capture man-eating giants who have been threatening the human world.
