We often take technology around us for granted, whether it’s riding an escalator instead of taking the old-fashioned steps, ordering items of tablets and laptops instead of going into stores instead and automatic doors to save the effort of pushing it open. Over the years, we have become super lazy with the evolution of using technology to help us and limit the amount of effort we have to put into the day to day life! But as technology advances so quickly, we often took the ‘older’ things for granted and barely notice them in day to day life as it just becomes the ‘norm’. One of those is automatic doors, that open when you go near them. People pass in and out of them every day without so much as noticing their presence, looking at how they work or appreciating what they do… until this little guy.
This kid is experiencing the first trip out to a store with automatic sliding doors and his reaction is just absolutely classic! For him, this is like magic experience which absolutely blew his mind! His parents said this was the first time they took him to the grocery store and let him walk around on his own. He gasps in amazement that the doors naturally open in front of him on both sides when he goes near them!
Despite being really adorable, this video brings home multiple messages. It is amazing what we, as mankind, have created and implemented to this world in terms of technology which we don’t appreciate enough as even the smaller everyday aids are really impressive. It also reminds us to take a really good look around us and notice a little more, there are probably amazing views, technology and details that you pass every day without even seeing, so take some time like this little boy and enjoy the smaller perhaps more trivial things surrounding us.
