This Post Will Definitely Expose Kanye West’s Past With Humour And Controversy

West’s most recent spark in the media, announcing his plans to run in the 2020 Presidential election at the MTV Music Video awards, has re-entered the news after Barack Obama made a joke at his own expense in reference to the rapper’s statement. This isn’t the first time Kanye has been in the news for reasons based on his outrageous comments on controversial decisions. Take a look at the many times West has been in the news, the reasons ranging all the way from the hilarious to the downright bizzare.

While Kanye certainly had one or two minor moments before this, this was the controversy that blasted West onto the map. When Taylor Swift took to the stage to accept her VMA award, Kanye stormed forward, grabbed the microphone and informed both Swift and the viewing audience that “Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.” Since that night the scene has been a part of pop culture, the infamy of the event so large that Kanye even parodied himself on a separate night when he took to the stage before laughing and highlighting to the audience how he was kidding.

Another one of West’s early forays into controversy. Allowing himself an outburst during an appeal for money in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, he waited for Mike Myers to finish his dialogue before he exclaimed “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people.” There was another media storm surrounding this controversy, one that lead to George Bush describing the moment as one of the most disgusting thing to happen during his presidency.

When posing for Rolling Stone magazine, Kanye decided it would be smart to pose in a crown of thorns. Along with his song “Jesus Walks” West has displayed a messiah complex that even the big JC himself would be ashamed of. Without any of the tact or charm displayed by Lennon when he famously described The Beatles as “bigger than Jesus,” when pressed on the cover photo he stated, “You want me to be great but you don’t ever want me to say I’m great?”

What do you think about Kanye’s comments about his running in the 2020 election? Are you a fan of Kanye’s specific brand of ego, or does I drive you as mental as many other people on this planet. Sound off, either positively or negatively, below in the comments and let us know what you think about the arrogant but often entertaining individual that is Kanye West.
