Photo shoots for pregnant women are super popular these days, if done nicely, it can be a really beautiful way of capturing those memories before bringing a new life into the world. However, who says that pregnant photo shoots have to just be for humans? Why can they not be for other animals that are pregnant too, in order to remember those days where you are carrying and developing, new precious lives to bring into the world.
This is the exact attitude that Brazilian photographer, Ana Paula Grillo thought and decided to put her theory to the test by putting her pregnant pup in the lime light and dedicating a photo shoot to her whilst she was pregnant with her puppies. Ana Paula Grillo said, “It was amazing, I felt like I understood her completely, she made sensational poses!”. The photo shoot only lasted twenty minutes, but the shots she got were really cute and she did it just in time as only the next day, the pooch mumma-to-be, Lilica had 5 gorgeous puppies.
From the lovely photo’s we can see just how heavily pregnant, Lilica was but she carried on like a true professional and could compete in the next series of America’s Next Top Model with the amount of poses she was striking! What is more important is that she really looked as though she was enjoying herself and soaking up the attention, whist carrying her 5 little puppies. This shoot goes to show pregnancy and new life is especially beautiful and we should take more time to document it and show it off, as you would not often see a heavily pregnant animal if you didn’t own it.
Once more, Ana Paula Grillo plans to document the puppies first few months of development, so that when they move on to their new homes, the new owners of the puppies can see their lives from the very beginning and have a chance to create their own photo album from when they have the pups.
