Nothing ruins a good thing like people on Twitter, and this time it’s scary movies that are on the chopping block. Since this morning #makeahorrormovieharmless has been trending, transforming time-honoured tales of terror into titles worthy of children’s television. You’ll never look at these classic horror films in the same way again.
They picked apart teen slasher flick ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’.
And took the panic out of paranormal activity.
Dracula suddenly doesn’t seem quite so bloodthirsty…
And neither do the lost boys.
They literally turned retro Speilberg blockbuster ‘Jaws’ into nothing but a basket of fluffy kittens.
And there were puns abound.
Somebody clearly thought ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ was a load of poo.
They bought a hefty dose of reality to ‘Carrie’.
Strangers calling suddenly doesn’t seem quite so threatening.
And neither does Freddy Kruger.
Or Leather Face.
There is nothing more harmless than a chick-flick.
Except for maybe fuzzy baby sheep.
So many horror movies would have had a much happier ending if a decent Wi-Fi connection had been available.
For example, ‘The Blair Witch Project’ would have had a completely different finale.
We all knew Minions would have to come into it somewhere.
And the Harry Potter franchise.
It’s all just one big party.
