2015 was a great year movies, and from the looks of it the ball of quality is going to keep rolling this year as well. There’s a bunch of films we’re eager to feat our eyes on in the coming months, but here’s 6 movies we can’t wait to see in 2016.
Computer game movie adaptations are pretty notorious for simply not working. Just look at Angelina Jolie’s Tom Raider franchise and the terrible Resident Evil movies that they wouldn’t stop making, not to mention Jake Gyllenhall’s baffling English accent in Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time. But the stars may have aligned with this one. Justin Kurzel was responsible for last year’s harsh and deeply atmospheric interpretation of Macbeth, which starred Michael Fassbender.
The two have re-united for this action-adventure which will be just as much about memory as daring assassination attempts and impressive parkour skills. The game itself has an incredibly intriguing concept and the movie appears to be in good hands. Could we have the first critically acclaimed computer game film ever?
