There are six Disney movies scheduled for release in 2017. The first, Beauty and the Beast, is a live adaptation of the classic 1991 animated musical film and stars Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as Beast. This eagerly anticipated movie, whose trailer logged a staggering 91.8 million views within 24 hours of being uploaded online, is being released on March 17. Born in China will be released on April 21 and is a Disneynature documentary. The fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, is being released on May 26 and sees Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow seek the Trident of Poseidon to defeat Captain Salazar, one of his old rivals. Cars 3 is coming out on June 16 and sees Lightning McQueen fight to prove himself the best of the world’s racing cars. Also set for release in 2017 are a live-action fairy tale movie that we don’t know too much about yet, and Coco, an original Disney/Pixar movie inspired by Mexico’s Day of the Dead festival.

1. 2018

In 2018, there will be two more live-action fairy tale films that currently don’t have titles, one being released on April 6 and the other on November 2; there’s also a currently untitled live-action movie being released on August 3. There are four other Disney films being released in 2018 and we do know details for these: Wreck-it-Ralph 2 will come out on March 19 and sees Ralph leaving the arcade and wrecking the internet; on June 15, we’ll be treated to Toy Story 4, which will focus on the toys reuniting Woody and Bo Peep; November 21 will see the release of Gigantic, which is loosely based on Jack and the Beanstalk, and on Christmas Day, Mary Poppins Returns, starring Emily Blunt as the world’s most loved nanny, will be released.

The long-awaited Incredibles 2 will be released on June 21 and so far, we don’t have titles for any of the other four movies being released in 2019. We do know that three of them are live-action fairy tales and the fourth is a Disney ToonStudios film. Beyond 2019, there are dozens of movies in various states of production, some of which could be released earlier than 2019, of course. Some of the many Disney movies we have to look forward to include Frozen 2 and a growing list of live-action movies, such as Tink, Cruella, Mulan, Genies, Pinocchio, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Rose Red, Jungle Cruise, The Haunted Mansion, and sequels to the movies The Jungle Book, Maleficent and Oz the Great and Powerful.
